Laurie J. Earp — "Fundraising gives another the Opportunity to do that which she wants to do: GIVE!"

Laurie is a native San Franciscan and returned to the Bay Area in 1995 after completing her graduate studies in Los Angeles. In less than 2 years after creating a home in the East Bay, she returned to her roots and began her fundraising consultancy — first in the political arena, most notably as Finance Director for then-Assemblywoman Barbara Lee, moving her from the state Assembly to state Senate, and ultimately to the US Congress.

During that time, Laurie also raised money for elected officials such as Senator Barbara Boxer, Governor Gray Davis, Assemblywoman Dion Aroner, and Assembly-candidate Loni Hancock.

Shortly afterwards, she began to move back into the non-profit world to produce events for many well-known local organizations, representing many aspects of the community — Children, AIDS, Affordable Housing, Breast Cancer, Environment, Immigrant, Labor Councils and other labor-affiliated organizations and unions, Legal, etc.

Laurie enjoys forging connections between her clients, enhancing each event or campaign through the relationships she helps create. This cross-fertilization also provides case studies for the workshop and training sessions she leads.

She has helped raise millions of dollars during these past ten years — locally, and across the country — and, is honored to represent the many organizations and individuals she sees as being on the front-line everyday, working to make a difference in this world.
